ADMISSIONS


The American Institute of Health requires that prospective students have a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) before they apply for any of the programs.

Next, a pre-admission exam must be taken and passed with a minimum score of 70 percent. Students may purchase a GED study guide, borrow it from their local library or check on line for it to prepare for the aptitude test, or they may study SAT guides or review basic high school Math, Reading Comprehension, English and Civics. The 2-hour test can be taken as a walk-in Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at AIIH, 901 South Highland Street, Arlington, Virginia 22204. Or to take the test on a Saturday, Call (703) 486-0111 to make an appointment.

There is a one-time nonrefundable $50 fee charged for the test. Payment must be made in the form of cash or a money order before taking the test. There will be no charge to retake the test if it is not passed the first time. A valid photo ID and proof that you obtain a high school diploma or GED must also be presented before taking the exam.

The next step in the admissions process is to schedule an admissions interview with the AIIH's Program Director. Once admitted, we can provide you with information about how to find out what type of financial aid you may be qualified to receive.

We can assist non-immigrant alien students by providing them information Immigration Service requirements that would have to be met before you could enroll at AIIH and for the duration of affiliation with the institute.
